Today I chose to wear a very casual, laid back outfit, I was having the laziest Sunday. To spice it up and feel more on trend, I went for velvet jeans, paired with heeled velvet ankle boots. Textures have the ability to add a whole lot of character to the most plain outfits. I love how subtle the velvet on my TopShop velvet jeans are, sometimes velvet can be a bit too much but these are just perfect!

My love for black velvet is endless. I just love the slight sheen it has and how smooth it is when I touch it. Clothes should definitely look good but its an added bonus when they feel good too! I am yet to expand my horizons and try wearing velvet in a different colour, what are your thoughts on the current velvet trend?
